The Fish, owned by Morland, now Greene King, has been leased by Mike & Jenny Gaffney since 1995. It is a comfortable and stylish pub/restaurant of some 60 covers, and has an attractive garden, a patio and a small conservatory. There are two bed & breakfast rooms, with private facilities, costing £40 single/£50 double. We also have a self contained flat/suite available from £60 per night or £250 per complete week Our chefs prepare à la carte & set meals at lunch and dinner every day using top-class fresh ingredients including local meat and seafood from Devon and Cornwall. A 2-course set lunch, with coffee and modest drinks, will cost £20 or so in the restaurant, the 3-course set dinner about £30.00. You can, of course, choose more expensively from the à la carte menu and the extensive wine list. We also have a simpler 'Bistro' menu at lunch, Monday to Saturday (main courses £8.95). We are delighted to cater for special occasions and can cope with most individual dietary requirements. |

We went for a meal one evening a couple of months ago. The service was faultless, food fantastic and price very good. We have recommended this restaurant to friends and they have come back saying the same. Try it, I doubt you will be disappointed. Oh - and you do not have to like fish, there is plenty of choice on the menu. The chefs used to work at the Beetle & Wedge. I would recommend The Fish over the Beetle & Wedge for everything except setting (B&W is ofcourse on the river)
