I'm afraid that someone has way too much time on their hand, not to mention a spiteful streak.
Splitz has posted no comments on this review site, and any opinions expressed by anyone claiming to be from Splitz should be ignored.
On a personal note - I use the Apple Cart on a regular basis, and I really like it.

Food has improved slightly since the refurb. OK for the money. Child facilities are old, broken and very dirty.

Had a dinner in here about a month ago now, we were a party of seven. Weekday about 6.45. We had booked and it was moderately busy.
First impressions were excellent. For those of you who have not been here since the refurb, I guarantee you will be amazed, seriously. Bar service was good.
First course was a root veg soup. Now I'm sorry to report that I sent it back, so did the others in my party who ordered it. The reason: it was cold, not even lukewarm. Not sure how this can have happened really, but I never kicked up a fuss about it, just said it's gotta be served warm, the woman got it sorted quickly so fair play.
Main course for me was a rib-eye. This also wasn;t brilliant. The rib-eye was okay but I do them bettr myself from tesco! The peas were also very bland, and the chips were half stodgey and half slightly undercooked which is an oddity!
Basically, the place is very nice but a bit of work needs doing on the food. The service/attitude of staff was however on the good side. 5/10.

would the spritz manager please refrain from posting reviews on this site posing as other people . i posted on here that it is better then splitz i did not then re post that i must have been drinking. it is very sad that sprits (who seem to have a lot of time on there hands (not being to bust )and trying to fool people in to trying there tat that they serve up. Mr Baker shame on you. oh and would be nice NOT to see your own reviews on this sight pretending to be a customer trying to give your self brownie points. well done to Robert the Manager at the Apple Cart you and your staff all work very hard.

I thought it was brilliant. Food very nice and staff greeted us as soon as we come in. I recommend coming here either for food or a few drinks. Good to come with friends or family though would be even better with a play are for the kids. Enjoy!!

are we talking about the same place, used to be a regular here but the food and service is now so poor I would'nt even let my dog feed here. 4 of us went in for Sunday lunch whch took nearly 2 1/2 hours without any sweet, felt sorry for the waitress....no staff, food cold and could not even get the order correct!

Turned up un-booked for daughters birthday, fitted us in no problem (5 people). Good food and service. Much improved since re-furb..

Been twice since the refurbishment. On both occasions service was excellent and the food was good.
